Who are ‘we’?

The Sherborne School Group includes Sherborne School, Sherborne International, Sherborne School (Trading) Ltd, Sherborne School (Leisure) Ltd, Sherborne School (Overseas) Trading Ltd and the Sherborne School Foundation. It is a charitable company registered as Sherborne School in England and Wales under the Companies Act (company number 4002575) and with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (registration number 1081228). Its address is Sherborne School, Abbey Road, Sherborne, Dorset, DT9 3LF.

Sherborne School Foundation is owned by Sherborne School but is registered separately under the Companies Act (company number 3686309) and the Charity Commission (charity number 1073522).

In this policy, whenever you see the words ‘we,’ ‘us’ or ‘our’, it refers to all those in the Sherborne School Group.

We use Hotjar to better understand how users engage with our website, e.g. which links they choose to click. This helps us improve our website. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on user behaviour and their devices, in particular IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type, browser information, geographic location (country only) and preferred language. Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymised user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. We also collect non-personal information such as IP addresses (the location of the computer on the internet), pages accessed and files downloaded.
