Admissions

Once you have decided if one of our courses is right for your child, you can find about more about our School and the admissions process.

Virtual School Tour

Many students interested in attending our international School are unable to visit in person before making a decision. Therefore, through the use of photos and video, this virtual school tour aims to help potential students and parents visualise what life at our School is like.

Introduction from our Principal, Tim Waters

Location

Sherborne International is located in the beautiful, historic and safe town of Sherborne. It has a good range of shops and the beautiful Sherborne Abbey that was founded in the year 705.

Our main campus – Newell Grange

This is where the teaching for all our courses takes place. Also on campus is our dining hall, where all meals are provided, and Greenfield Hall which is used for exams, assemblies and watching films on the large screen.

Classrooms

Our classrooms are designed to allow our fully qualified, experienced teachers to ensure all students are actively engaged in all lessons to maximise their learning.

Class sizes are very small, with 5 – 8 students per class. This ensures that all students can receive individual, specialist attention.

Boarding

Students stay in one of our boarding houses, where they are very well cared for by our full-time, boarding staff. A high staff-to-student ratio ensures we can keep a close eye on their welfare and allows us to give students plenty of activities to keep them busy and happy during evenings and weekends.

Sports

As part of our partnership with Sherborne School, our students have access to outstanding sports facilities.

The facilities include the large outdoor sports fields in the video below for football and cricket.

Our students also use the fabulous indoor swimming pool, gym and indoor courts for badminton, basketball and volleyball at Sherborne Sports Centre.

Excursions

Students are also able to go on many excursions to beautiful and interesting locations.

Music

We offer individual music lessons for those wishing to begin to learn a new instrument and for those who are already proficient. Advanced students can join one of the Sherborne School orchestras. We also offer singing lessons and run a small choir which practices weekly.
