Outstanding GCSEs at Sherborne International
Sherborne International’s I/GCSE results have again shown our pupils netting excellent results, improving further on last year’s statistics and with some outstanding individual efforts.
- 81.3% of papers taken were at C/4 grade or higher which is the second year in a row that this figure has improved. It is also 11.4% better than the UK average for English-speaking students.
- 34% of papers were 7/A or higher, again 13.2% better than UK average.
- 20.7% gained the top grade of A*-A or the 7-9 equivalent in at least five subjects, which is 7.6% better than last year.
The top three performers were Jessica with six 9/A* grades and one B; Tony with four A*/9s and four at A/8/7, and Andrea with eleven GCSEs, including one at 9 and four at A/8/7.
Tim Waters, Principal of Sherborne International, said “To have achieved these excellent results across such a range of subjects, when all our students were working in their ‘second’ language is hugely impressive. Once again it is a tribute to the focus and determination of our students and the dedication of our teachers and support staff”.
Our leavers are set to take up places in many of the UK’s top schools in the coming weeks and we wish all of them the very best for the future. We now look forward to working with another talented set of students in the new academic year.
