Our Year 11 GCSE Art Students visit the National Gallery in London

Y11 GCSE Students drawing in LondonOn Wednesday 16 January 2019, our Year 11 GCSE Art students spent the day in London, including a visit to the National Gallery.

Here, the students came face to face with some of the most important works of art in our national collection, such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s ‘Virgin on the Rocks’ and Monet’s ‘Waterlilies’.

They also had the opportunity to create their own drawings, using one of Monet and Turner’s favourite subjects ‘The River Thames’.
