Each year more than one hundred boys and girls from all over the world join Sherborne International in Sherborne, Dorset, UK.  They do so as the first step towards a successful education in the United Kingdom.

Sherborne International was set up in 1977 to provide students with the first step to a successful education in the UK. Our ethos is that through an in-depth understanding of the particular needs of international students, we provide individuals with a focussed academic, pastoral and cultural experience in a fully supportive, safe and caring environment. In order to achieve this class size remains small, with a usual maximum of eight. All teachers, irrespective of subject, are qualified or trained in English as a Foreign Language, which enables more effective communication. Boarding staff are trained or qualified to meet the equally important pastoral needs of international students.

The school enrols boys and girls aged between 11 and 17 and students usually stay at Sherborne International for between one and two years.

The school offers a wide range of qualifications up to I/GCSE level and all subjects are inspected and accredited by the British Council. As with all other schools, Sherborne International is inspected by the Government and in January 2016 was graded EXCELLENT (the top grade) in all areas of school life.

Please do take the time to look at our website, including the video below, and discover what we believe has made Sherborne International such a special place in the hearts and minds of thousands of students across the world.
